I love to write about my travel exploits. I have visited countries in Europe, Africa, and Asia, but one that stands out for me is The Philippines. Not because it’s far more beautiful than other countries in Europe or Africa that I have been to, but mostly because of the friendliness of the people. I just love how they smile at me and treat me with so much warmth.

And the good thing is that it’s not only me. Many people who have traveled to this wonderful country have similar stories to tell. You may too, if you visit.

But what is really awesome about this country?

A huge advantage for picking the Philippines as a travel destination is its colorful history and practices. The country was under colonial rule of three foreign powers – Spain, USA and Japan. Each colonial rule contributed to its history and culture of the nation.

The Philippines is also called ‘Fiesta or Festival Island’. The reason for this moniker is due to the fiesta celebrations of local towns and cities that spread over an entire year. Each town has its own principal patron and people celebrate in several different ways. There are street dancing and colorful ceremonies, all contributing to the gaiety of the occasion.

The country and the people are both very important. Both the country and its people make the impression in the mind and the heart of the tourist.

The Philippines is certainly unique and precious in its own way. The islands are certainly attractive and must-to-see and the people are some of the best in the world. But as they say, one must experience it to believe it. The only thing that can achieve that is a travel plan, a call to the travel agent and a ticket plane to the Orient.
